Exercice 1
Remettez les mots dans l’ordre pour former des phrases au ZERO CONDITIONAL
- if / exam. / an / they / students / professor / fails / miss / The
- it / go / hiking / I / if / rains / not / will / tomorrow.
- get / enough / Plants / die / if / water. / they / don’t
- if / very / feel / drink / I / milk. / I / sick
- cook / will / tonight. / wash / if / you / dishes / the / I / dinner
- The professor fails students if they miss an exam. = Le professeur recale les étudiants s’ils manquent un examen.
- I will not go hiking if it rains tomorrow. = Je ne vais pas faire de randonnée s’il pleut demain.
- Plants die if they don’t get enough water. = Les plantes meurent si elles n’ont pas assez d’eau.
- I feel very sick if I drink milk. = Je me sens très malade si je bois du lait.
- I will wash the dishes if you cook dinner tonight. = Je ferai la vaisselle si tu prépares le dîner ce soir.
Exercice 2
Lisez et choisissez s’il s’agit d’un ZERO ou d’un FIRST CONDITIONAL
- If you touch that hot stove, you will burn your fingers
- If you mix red and blue, you get purple.
- If I drink too much wine, I get a headache.
- If we complete this project under budget, the customer will be thrilled.
- If you yell at me one more time, I will leave.
- First conditional = Si tu touches ce poêle chaud, tu vas te brûler les doigts.
- Zero conditional = Si tu mélanges du rouge et du bleu, tu obtiens du violet.
- Zero conditional = Si je bois trop de vin, j’ai mal à la tête.
- First conditional = Si nous terminons ce projet sans dépasser le budget, le client sera ravi.
- First conditional = Si vous me criez dessus encore une fois, je partirai.

- I would invest it wisely if I had a million dollars! = Si j’avais un million de dollars, je l’investirais judicieusement !
- What would you study if you could go back to university? = Qu’étudieriez-vous si vous pouviez retourner à l’université ?
- Julie would move to New York City if she knew how to speak English. = Julie déménagerait à New York si elle savait parler anglais.
- You would put on weight if you ate too much junk. = Tu prendrais du poids si tu mangeais trop de cochonneries.
Exercice 4
Lisez et choisissez s’il s’agit d’un SECOND ou d’un THIRD CONDITIONAL
- If I had gone to a better university, I would have had better career opportunities.
- I wouldn’t go back to your ex-husband if I were you.
- You would have more money if you did not spend it all on silly things.
- My cousin would have traveled to Brazil with me if he hadn’t lost his passport.
- I wouldn’t have used this paint color if I had known how dark it would look!
- Third = Si j’avais fréquenté une meilleure université, j’aurais eu de meilleures possibilités de carrière.
- Second = Je ne retournerais pas avec votre ex-mari si j’étais vous.
- Second = Tu aurais plus d’argent si tu ne le dépensais pas pour des choses stupides.
- Third = Mon cousin aurait voyagé au Brésil avec moi s’il n’avait pas perdu son passeport.
- Third = Je n’aurais pas utilisé cette couleur de peinture si j’avais su à quel point elle serait sombre !
