1. To enjoy or approve of something or someone

I like discovering new places. → J’aime découvrir de nouveaux endroits.

2. To show that you think something is good on a social networking website by clicking on a symbol or the word ‘like’

3. Used to say politely that you want something

I would like a black coffee, please. → Je prendrais un café, s’il vous plait.

Les phrasal verbs avec like en anglais

Rappel : les phrasal verbs (ou “verbes à particule”) sont des verbes qui, lorsqu’ils sont suivis d’un autre mot (la particule), voient leur sens initial complété ou modifié.

Il n’existe pas de phrasal verbs formés sur le verbe like.

Les synonymes de like en anglais

En fonction du contexte, vous pouvez remplacer le verbe to like par l’un des verbes suivants :
