¿Qué significa few, little, a few y a little?
FEW y LITTLE son determinantes y A FEW y A LITTLE son cuantificadores que se utilizan para expresar pequeñas cantidades.
La elección entre FEW y LITTLE se basa en el sustantivo al que acompañan, según se trate de un sustantivo contable (que se puede contar) o incontable (que se puede cuantificar).
Con sustantivos contables
Puedes contar los nombres: cars, people, friends…

Con sustantivos incontables
No se pueden contar los sustantivos incontables.
Deben cuantificarse utilizando una unidad específica según el nombre: (a bottle of / a liter of / a glass of) water, (a bunch of, a bag of) money, (a kilo of / a tablespoon of / a cup of) sugar…
